before anyone jumps the wagon, a jellyfish doesn't have a brain. that said.. creative enough or not funny at all? trying to go the extra mile, not just something I make 'cause I find it worthwhile. I could try to up my skills or I just go with a subtle second meaning. I prefer the later, not just 'cause I'm lazy.
edit: this is turning into one of those epic pieces that never ends. I'll have to wrap this up and move on.
some progress photos while I'm stuck. what's left is making the shadows on the top-part of the jellyfish.. I suppose I'll change something else along the way too but that's yet to come.
thank you Picasa Web Album for allowing me big size photos, not. you get an idea at least.
there. these are the last you'll see of this stencil in a long, long while. will complete the last one with a halftone pattern covering the okapi and using the same halftone pattern making a shadow on the ground that fades out to the left.
image quality isn't the best today but well... was one too many to clean to be really worth it. colours took a hit and some detail loss but you get the idea?
I want to take the opportunity to thank the guys over at stencilrevolution for their well grounded criticism regarding this piece. the two red pieces and the black & white have in their on ways taken in consideration what was said over at stencilrevolution. wildly appreciated. don't be afraid to click on the images for full view. thanks.
well I feel like I've reached the end of the road with this piece for the moment. time to start something new. next up will be my shoe racket, I think.
made a paperstencil, played a tad with acrylic and rounded of with micron pen and Sepia ink. done an installation with the same theme where the clown in his empty fist holds a papier-mâché balloon in a thread. might get round to adding that piece later this week.
